We are committed to finding ways for everyone in our church family to connect with those in our local community who are in need of the good news of Jesus Christ, and for them to experience the Kingdom of God right where they are. We aim to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, in response to the way Jesus has loved us first.
In our imperfect world, some people face barriers that prevent them from recognizing and developing their gifts.
IMTCVA is a Christian based community organization whose purpose is to offer support and resources to individuals in order to aid in transformation toward empowerment, self-sufficiency and an increase in the quality of life.
Neighborhood Mission
The mission encourages and coordinates the work in collaboration with local churches, agencies and institutions to effectively respond to the local needs and witness Christ in the local Neighborhoods.

Light to Life
Light to Life aims at social transformation and development of communities through holistic development of children. Holding up the motto of the Mar Thoma Church, Lighted to Lighten, the mission intends to shed light in the lives of children equipping them to transform their own communities and the world at large. The project is designed to support education, provide nutritious food and sufficient clothing, create congenial environment for emotional, social and spiritual growth to these less privileged children.
How can you support A child can be sponsored by pledging $20 a month ($240 a year). We support each project for a period of five years, the sponsor has the freedom to choose the duration of sponsorship from a minimum of one year. The sponsor will be informed of the name and basic details and periodically updated about progress of the sponsored child.

Mexico Mission
Mexico Mission is the work among the fishermen Community relocated as a Mar Thoma Community in Matamoros, a city in the northeastern Mexican state of Tamaulipas.
The Mission was established in 2003 under the leaderships of Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos among the fisher community in Tamaulipas, a group of islands about sixty miles off the eastern coast of Mexico. Houses were built to replace the temporary shacks that they inhabited. When these homes were destroyed by hurricane Emily in 2005, a plot was bought further inland in Matamoros and a housing development named ‘Colonia Mar Thoma’, Spanish usage for Mar Thoma community was inaugurated in May 2008 as part of Valiya Metropolitan’s Navathy celebrations.
The mission work is focused on the areas of infrastructure & housing, education, food assistance, spiritual development, medical assistance, and economic development. The project coordinator regularly visits the field, interact with the families. The program focuses on the regular distributing food and hygienic essentials to the families in need within Colonia Mar Thoma. In addition, the Diocese conducts: (a) elementary education at the Colonia Mar Thoma compound in conjunction with the local government. Tuition expenses, for students attending higher level elementary, middle school, and high school, were covered by the Mission; (b) Mexico Mission Vacation Bible School are conducted every summer based on a theme; (c) Medical camps are arranged periodically to provide medical care. People from the community as well as form outside make use of the facility; (d) The meaning of incarnation is communicated to the community though Christmas celebrations. Organizations and well-wishers from the parishes whole heatedly participate in giving Christmas gifts to the children in the mission field.
Through the program, a number of Colonia Mar Thoma children completed their college education in the fields of Medicine, engineering, nursing, and IT. These individuals are securing jobs in the local communities and offer their voluntary service to the community there. Continued efforts are in progress such as appointing a full-time missionary with working knowledge in Spanish, improving transportation, proposal to building a new school, enhancing ongoing programs, building a hostel, etc.
Native American Mission
Native American Mission is a program focused on Native American communities in Oklahoma and Alabama to provide them spiritual resources and opportunities to nurture their faith. The Mission serves the Choctaw Native Indian community in Oklahoma and Mount Vernon, Alabama. The Mission is conducted in partnership with Choctaw Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma and Aldersgate Methodist Church in Alabama. The aim of the mission is to foster spiritual and holistic growth of the Native American communities and to provide youths and the families opportunity for direct involvement in mission.

India Mission
To create mission enthusiasm in the youths by helping them to have firsthand experience of the mission work of the Mar Thoma Church in India. India mission serves to connect the people especially youth in the diocese to the mission fields in India. The Committee annually organizes mission visits of ten days duration. Part of the expense is shared by the mission board to reduce the financial burden of the volunteers. The participants get a chance to feel the life of the Indian villages, to participate in the worship and Holy Communion Services, of the Christian communities in the villages watch closely the life of the evangelists, understand the method of mission works, experience the changes in the lives of the people as result of the mission and know the challenges in the Indian villages. The mission exposure helps them to have a more serious view about life.
