On November 25, 2017 few of our youth and parents had the opportunity to volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox processing center in Columbia, MD. We opted for the 4 hr shift and were standing for 4 hrs processing shoe boxes; checking for monetary donations, removing toothpaste/liquids/candy which are not allowed, then taping and scanning the boxes and packing them into cartons. Assembly line work is tiring, but it was worth it!

They give you a preview of where these boxes go and the lives that are touched. There was a pastor who shared the journey of a shoe-box and we prayed over the boxes. The boxes processed on Saturday were being shipped to Ukraine.
